1. What we collect
Your account details (name, email), the audio you record or upload, the photos or PDFs you scan, and the transcripts, minutes and edits Scriber creates from it.
2. How we use it
Only to provide the service: transcribing your audio, generating minutes, and letting you search, edit, share and export them. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
3. Where your data is stored
Recordings, transcripts, minutes and backups are stored on our secured servers. Hosting in a country of your choice is available on request.
4. Who processes it (sub-processors)
- Our hosting provider — hosting of the app, database, recordings and backups.
- Google LLC (Gemini API) — audio and transcript text are sent to produce transcripts, minutes and other AI results. The processing region is not guaranteed and may be outside your country and the EU. We use the paid Gemini API; per Google's Gemini API terms for paid services, Google does not use this content to improve its products or train its models, but may keep it for a limited time to detect abuse.
- Google LLC (Gmail) — delivers the emails we send, such as password resets and minutes you choose to email. It sees the recipient address and the message.
- Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry) — error reports, when enabled: technical details of a crash, which can include your account ID and the page or request involved. The region depends on our Sentry account.
- If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name and email with us.
5. Sharing
Recordings are private to your account. A meeting is visible to others only when you create a share link, and you can revoke it at any time.
6. Keeping and deleting data
We keep your data while your account is active.
- A deleted meeting goes to Trash for 30 days, then its recording, transcript and minutes are permanently deleted.
- You can have audio deleted automatically after 30, 90 or 365 days (Settings → Privacy and security). Only the audio is deleted; transcripts and minutes stay.
- Settings → Privacy and security → Delete account removes your account and all its files; only minutes-used totals are kept, without your name, for billing records.
- We back up the database and recordings every night. Deleted data is removed from backups within 35 days.
